The 2005 UNC Teaching and Learning with Technology Conference will be held at the Hilton North Raleigh on March 30–April 1, 2005.

Making a Reservation

If you require hotel accommodations, we recommend that you make your reservation as soon as possible. Our room block will be held until Tuesday, March 8 Tuesday, March 15 (deadline has been extended).

Reservations can be made by calling 800-HILTONS (800-445-8667) or by accessing the hotel web site. To receive the conference rate ($75 single, $114.50 double), you must provide the group code, which is TLT. If making your reservation online, please type this three letter code in the Group/Convention code box. If you will be sharing a room, please include the names of both persons when you make your reservation.

You may cancel a reservation without penalty any time before 4 p.m. on your arrival date. After that, you will be responsible for a “no show” charge.

Questions about making hotel reservations may be directed to Shannon Beckerich of YCC (Your Conference Connection), at 910-452-0006 or shannon@teamycc.com.

Hotel Cost Information

Single occupancy rooms at the Hilton cost $75 per night, and double occupancy rooms cost $114.50 per night.

For UNC-affiliated conference participants, the TLT Collaborative will subsidize the cost of rooms at the Hilton. Here are the details:
  • Up to three hotel nights (Tuesday–Thursday) at the state per diem rate (currently $57.25 plus tax) will be covered for all participants from the most distant UNC campuses.
  • Up to two hotel nights (Wednesday–Thursday) at the state per diem rate will be covered for all other UNC participants who live and work more than 45 miles from Raleigh.
  • UNC participants who share rooms will not incur any additional cost, as the cost of shared rooms is double the state rate.
  • UNC participants who prefer a private room will incur an additional charge of approximately $20 per night, including tax.
  • No special actions are necessary to take advantage of the subsidy. During hotel checkout, eligible UNC participants will automatically receive credit on their bills for the appropriate amount. (Note that the hotel will request credit card information during the reservation process to hold the room. The hotel will also take a credit card imprint at checkin to cover the cost of any incidentals.)
  • The subsidy is available for rooms at the Hilton, but not for rooms at other hotels.
Questions about the hotel subsidy may be directed to Laura Rogers, TLTC Program Coordinator, at 919-929-0313 or lrogers@northcarolina.edu.
