Check Your Personal Details
By Friday, January 27, please check that the details of your personal profile are correct, as much of this information will be published in the printed program and/or online.
Check Your Session Details
By Friday, January 27, please check that the following elements of your session(s) are up to date:
- Title
- Abstract
- Audio/Visual Requirements
- Additional Comments
- Presenter Information
If you identify anything that should be changed, or if you have questions about these session details, please notify Laura Rogers, TLTC Program Coordinator, at 919-929-0313 or lrogers@northcarolina.edu.
Notes:
- When proposals are submitted, the web site automatically truncates presentation titles and abstracts that exceed the maximum allowable length (120 characters for the title, and 150 words for the abstract). If the text in either of these fields has been cut off, please make appropriate adjustments.
- As noted on the proposal page, the following audio/visual equipment will be available in the presentation rooms: Internet access, computer with Windows XP Professional/Office XP, video/data projector with screen, and microphone. If you did not do so at the time of proposal submission, please let us know whether you plan to attach your own computer rather than using the one provided, and request any additional AV resources that you will need.
- Questions about audio/visual equipment may be directed to Kim Dicso of YCC (Your Conference Connection), at 910-452-0006 or kim@teamycc.com.
Sign the Authorization Form
- Record your presentation.
- Publish your presentation and associated materials on the conference web site.
Note:
- Signatures of all presenters, or of their proxies, must appear on the form. For example, a single presenter can sign on behalf of each of the other co-presenters, if necessary.
Completed forms should be faxed to Kim Dicso of YCC (Your Conference Connection) at 910-452-7834. If you are unable to download the form, or you have questions about it, you can contact Kim at 910-452-0006 or kim@teamycc.com.
Register for the Conference
By Monday, February 13, please register for the conference. All presenters AND co-presenters who will attend the conference must register and pay the appropriate registration fees.
Reserve a Hotel Room, If Needed
By Monday, February 20, please reserve a hotel room if you will need one (follow the link to view hotel cost information). You may also wish to review the Conference Location page, which includes driving directions.
Plan Your Session
The Preparing to Present page is designed to assist all presenters with session planning issues. Special sections are provided for workshop and poster presenters.
Submit Your Presentation
By Monday, March 6, you may provide your presentation to our conference manager, YCC (Your Conference Connection), to preload on the conference computers. Here are some advantages to submitting your presentation before the conference:
- Preloaded presentations allow for a smooth transition between speakers.
- YCC will be able to test your presentation with the LCD computer projectors.
- You can relax for a few days (or, spend some time polishing those handouts!).
To submit your presentation, please e-mail it to Kim Dicso of YCC at kim@teamycc.com. If you are unable to e-mail your presentation due to file size, you may submit it via CD or iomega Zip Disk. The address for mailed submissions is UNC TLT Conference, c/o YCC, 3904 Oleander Drive, Suite 101, Wilmington, NC 28403. Be sure to include the title of your presentation in any communication.
Please let Kim know if you cannot meet the March 6 deadline or if you will not be submitting your presentation prior to the conference.
Questions about submitting your presentation may be directed to Kim at 910-452-0006 or kim@teamycc.com.
Post Your Session Materials on the Conference Web Site
TLT Conference participants look forward to finding presentation materials on the conference web site. These might include:
- Your presentation.
- Handouts and white papers.
- Web links.
You may submit these materials when viewing your session(s).
Submit Content for the Conference Proceedings
The UNC TLT Collaborative and UNC Faculty Assembly are very pleased to announce that this year’s conference will include the inaugural publication of proceedings following the conference. We hope that all presenters will consider formatting presentation materials for submission to the proceedings, making the proceedings truly a capstone of the conference experience. Presenters are requested to submit materials that provide a concise and accurate representation of the conference session and are formatted to meet the certain requirements necessary for publishing proceedings. The guidelines and style sheet will soon be provided online as reference for submitters; please contact us, before submission, if you wish to propose an alternate to any of these requirements. This is our first year to publish proceedings, and we would very much appreciate your comments and suggestions to improve this effort. Please send your comments to Laura Rogers at lrogers@northcarolina.edu or call 919-929-0313. |
