Roger speaks extensively at educational conferences and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Online Consortium (www.albertaonline.ab.ca), an Advisory Board at Governors' State University, an Advisory Board of eLearn Campus, as well as the California Consortium of Virtual Educators (CCoVE). Lou Harrison received his BS and MS in Computer Science, from NC State. He is currently Director of Information Technology for Learning Technologies, and he and his team manage, maintain, install, integrate, and develop the technology that NC State uses for teaching and learning at scale. This technology includes WolfWare, a home-grown course management system, and WebCT Vista among other tools. His team also supports the technology needs of DELTA at NC State, including desktop support, database and web app development, technology consulting, video engineering, and media distribution.

Dr.Heatwole is an ecologist with a B.S. degree in Botany, an M.S. in Zoology, a Ph.D. each in Zoology and Botany, and a D.Sc. in Herpetology. His research encompasses many animal species worldwide. He is a foremost authorities on sea snakes and has edited two multi-volume series: Amphibian Biology; Ecology in Australia. He teaches courses in Animal Diversity, Herpetology, and Desert Ecology, and has organized field courses to the Great Barrier Reef, the Galapagos Islands, Antarctica, and Africa. Currently, he is developing videography as a means of enhancing web-based courses in Biology.
