Scott Brewster, Ph.D. is Director of Online Learning and Support for the Division of Continual Learning at UNCG where he leads a team of 30 instructional designers, coders and artists who develop online courses that focus on student-centered learning and cutting-edge technology, such as simulations and serious gaming. He holds a Ph.D. in music education from UNCG, and his areas of expertise are educational technology, online learning and electronic music. In 2006, Scott''''''''''''''''s staff developed Economics 201, an award-winning undergraduate online college course designed as a 3D video game. Economics 201 has helped Scott and his team to take the lead in ushering in the next generation of learning. They are transforming higher education instruction from static to dynamic, from lecture to interaction and from memorization to problem-solving.
